Fright-tastic Femme-Directed Films at the Ruby (Thursday, 10/28)
October is the best month to screen movies because there are so many delectable horror films dripping with blood, camp, mother-daughter issues, high school anxieties, reconstructive surgery mishaps, and sharp-toothed Polish mermaids! Since The Glittering Cave (aka Linda Mai Green) could not choose from all the great women-directed horror films,* Rubies will get to decide which frightful films they want to watch by voting in a poll then join us for two MASKED & VAXXED screenings.
(We'll be MASKED when we're not enjoying our personal servings of popcorn and drinks.)
Check out our list of options below and vote for your favorites here! We'll screen the the winner IRL at The Ruby on 10/28.

WRITE-IN Option
*I chose to present women-directed films this month. I recognize that there are other creative lead roles in film such as Producer, Writer, Editor etc. etc. Though these films are directed by women, the POC-representation both behind and in front of the camera could be stronger. I am proud to have a few international films in the mix, but I would welcome suggestions or knowledge on films I may have overlooked!
