Candle Making (Using Recycled Containers) with Jenny Lemons

If you're like us, you have a collection of vintage vessels and thrifted cups that you're just waiting for the chance to use! Why not turn them into candles?!

In this class, you will learn the basics of the candle making process from melting soy wax properly to customizing your very own scents so that you can turn almost any container into a beautiful candle! We will bring an array of fruity, earthy, and floral fragrance oils for you to work with in class. Each student will choose one cup from a variety of unique vintage vessels that we’ve collected from local thrift stores and antique shops. Everyone will get to go home with two truly one-of-a-kind candles. We will cover the ins and outs of mixing scents with the wax, how to keep your wick straight, and where to source materials. With the confidence and knowledge, you gain from this workshop, you’ll be making candles out of everything from bowls and goblets to teacups and mugs!

We will provide one vessel for your candle.

Please bring another, heat resistant cup to pour your wax into! Please do not bring cups made from plastic, wood, or any other flammable material!

PLEASE NOTE there is a materials fee of $20, payable at the start of class (via Square). Nonmembers, this is included in the price of your ticket.
