In this workshop, we will dive into the swirling colorful world of water marbling! Water marbling is a surface design technique that produces a pattern that resembles a colorful, streaked and swirled stone.  We will learn how to prepare a cellulose solution bath (called "size"), how to float inks on the surface of the bath, and how to make our own tools for agitating and twisting the colors. We will cover how to prepare materials to be marbled and how to accomplish several different patterns. 

Together we will make a set of 4 leather coasters, a silk neckerchief, and marbled paper!
