Clothes! Do you have too many clothes? Are you failing to wear them, even though they’re perfectly usable? Does your wardrobe need reinvigoration? Should you probably not spend more money right now? Let your clothes bring joy into a new wearer’s life! And pick up some new-to-you clothes too. At the Ruby’s Organized Clothing Swap, freshly laundered clothing will be hung onto racks and organized into sizes. (There will be no rifling, raccoon-like, through garbage bags!) Pick up a new dress or four and feel good that your old clothes will find their way into a new home.

Bring your gently used clothing, shoes, and jewelry to The Ruby by Friday, February 16, so we can organize the items.

Belle Bueti of Body Philosophy Club will give a short presentation on passing on and inheriting clothing from other humans, and will discuss how taking care of clothing preserves its reusability.

Belle Bueti is some body living and thinking in the Outer Sunset of San Francisco. She runs a vintage clothing business called Body Philosophy Club, which is actually just a front for the real thing: a project that attempts to make space for the emotions humans feel while occupying and attempting to clothe their particular bodies. Belle continues to work on this project even though she has never been in a club, hasn’t ever understood philosophy, and doesn’t feel entirely comfortable in a body. She also enjoys writing and spending time with young children.
