Tess Bryant has been working in the Bay Area wine scene for almost ten years. After graduating with degrees in Creative Writing and French Literature, she found herself back home in Sonoma County working with Hirsch Vineyards, getting deep in the California Pinot Noir world of small-town Cazadero. After several harvests, she picked up and moved to San Francisco, ready to explore a broader wine scene. She found herself at Arlequin Wine Merchant, starting as a stockist and shortly working her way up to Manager and buyer. Next came importing. T. Edward Wines, based in New York, hired her to open and create a California market for their business. For the past four years, she has sold wine throughout the state, hired and trained seven employees in the wholesale wine game, and traveled to France, Spain, and Australia to develop natural wine portfolios for the company. Today, her interests revolve around the world of natural wine, specifically the burgeoning and relatively unknown scene in Australia.
