She stumbled into a career in makeup artistry after graduating with a degree in Psychology from UC Berkeley, and found it was a perfect avenue to utilize and develop her creative flair. As a freelance makeup artist for over 15 years, she has built an ever-growing business in bridal services, editorial and commercial work, print, video, film and television. Her experience as a Regional Makeup Artist for Laura Mercier Cosmetics trained her to give clients a flawless complexion and an amazing glow—makeup that looks natural but still makes an impact. Her work has appeared in The Knot, Destination Wedding, 7x7, StyleMePretty, Marie Claire Magazine, Wired Magazine, FastCompany, and Vanity Fair. Regular clients include Pixar Studios, Disney, and AirBnb. Julie's work has allowed her to indulge in her love for color and beauty, as well as the concepts of transformation and personal expression.
